First came denial, “No. This cannot be happening.” Then anger, “How could he do this to us? He was supposed to be playing awesome roles well into his eighties.” Then . .  .

I re-watched one of my favorite Philip Seymour Hoffman scenes from one of my very favorite movies, Almost Famous, and just started bawling. Then I went and looked for the clip on the Internet and found that Josh Levin of Slate.com  posted about the very exact thing. I’m still crying a little bit. I never was cool.
